September and autumn is looming...

It was my only session this month and a short session of just a few hours. I generally wouldn't fish short sessions when the days are longer. However, I enjoyed this time on the canal at Stenson Bubble on the Trent & Mersey canal near bridge 20. I caught some small silvers with a cane rod and Mitchell 300 on sweetcorn.

I've been able to fish every month over the summer which I consider a blessing. However, I've not fished as often as I'd liked this summer, due to weddings, christenings, birthdays, family celebrations and weekends away. If nothing else it's made me appreciate fishing even more, especially when I've been near water and wondered what fish swim beneath when I don't have a rod and reel. Here's to Autumn and all its glories and catches.
